About us

INTRODUCTION OF US

We are going places in making the world a better place to live for everybody.

Hey there! We’re It Takes A Village AMSA Edition abbreviate as ITAV-AMSA, a bunch of folks who care deeply about our community. We started out as a small group, and now we’re on our way to becoming an official nonprofit organization.

Right now, we’re being supported by the Seattle Parks Foundation, and soon we’ll be working with S2 Seattle Sustainability. They’re helping us as we navigate the process of getting our nonprofit status.

Our main focus is on making sure the Black community feels supported and empowered. We’re all about wellness, education, and helping folks heal from whatever life throws their way. But hey, we’re here for everyone, not just one group!

We organize all sorts of events and programs, from educational workshops to celebrations of our cultural heritage. We’re passionate about things like taking care of the environment, making sure everyone has access to good healthcare, and teaching people how to grow their own food.

Our work covers a lot of ground – we’re into arts, education, the environment, and so much more. We believe that everyone deserves a chance to thrive, and we’re doing our part to make that happen.

Join us on our journey to create a better, fairer world for everyone. Together, we can make a real difference.
